The international classical music festival Cantata is held annually in unusual locations in the Kaliningrad region: dilapidated castles, kirkhas and in the open air. The funds raised from ticket sales are invested in the restoration of cultural heritage objects.

Together with Ivan Rudin, the festival's artistic director, a program dedicated to the 150th anniversary of S. V. Rachmaninov was developed. The participants were Yuri Bashmet, Ildar Abdrazakov, Oksana Kasyan, Peter Laul, Andrey Merzlikin and many others. More than 3,500 guests attended the concerts, and live broadcasts were watched by 1.2 million people across the country.
