In July 2016, the St. Petersburg theater venue Art Dimension organized a laboratory called Plays We Never Staged at All, dedicated to the work of playwright Yuri Klavdiev. I have long wanted to try my hand at drama theater and decided to participate. Of the list of plays presented, I was most interested in the post-apocalyptic story about the fate of a Russian woman under the conditions of a grotesquely portrayed ultra-patriarchy. The Code of Fathers which I put in the play's title, is a kind of analogue of the Domostroy, describing all aspects of life in a society that has experienced global catastrophe.

The finale of the play was decided as follows: the main character suddenly broke down the fourth wall and addressed the audience with a critique of what was going on. After that, the audience was divided according to gender — women went with Anna to another theater hall to watch the end of the play, while men stayed and the performative part of the play took place in front of them — a handcuffed guy had his head shaved naked by a girl, while he read texts from Facebook posts of women who had suffered physical and psychological violence.
