The Magic Orchestra is a symphonic performance for the whole family devised for the Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow. The futuristic interior of the hall inspired us to create a story about space travel. Virtual navigator created by video artist TanyaMist helps the captain (orchestra conductor) to stay on course, and the artists of the street theater Mr Pejo's Wandering Dolls act as the aliens, meeting on the way to the main goal — the search for the Source of Cosmic Harmony.

The interactive performance not only engages children, but also teaches them musical literacy. Synchrhythmic claps to free the captain from the captivity of space pirates, musical instruments as parts of the space engine, names of characters (Dissonances, Crescendos, Diminuendos, Chameleonic Overtones) — in the form of a game, young spectators memorize basic terms and then come up with their characters for the children's drawing contest.
